Performing Arts

The Performing Arts program at Our Lady of Hope is a vibrant and multidisciplinary learning area encompassing dance, drama, and music.

All students participate in a specialist Performing Arts lesson each week, designed to nurture creativity, imagination, confidence, and self-expression. These lessons also provide exciting performance opportunities that help students build communication and presentation skills.

From Year 3, students learn to play the recorder, while students in Years 5 and 6 can choose to join the school choir, which performs at the Catholic Schools Music Festival.

Every child also takes part in our biennial whole-school concert, a highlight of our community calendar, and enjoys opportunities to experience performances by professional artists.

In addition, our Instrumental Music Program offers private tuition in a range of instruments, allowing students to further develop their musical talents and passion for performance. (See Extra-Curricular Activities for more details.)
