Secondary Pathways
As a Catholic primary school, we are part of a wider system of Catholic schools, which means there are a variety of options when it comes to choosing a secondary school for your child.
We will work with any secondary school (Catholic, Independent or Department) in order to support and facilitate a successful transition from primary to secondary school for your child.
Many of our students from Our Lady of Hope move onto Gleeson College for their secondary education. We have a very strong working relationship with Gleeson College and are a feeder school for the College. If your child attends Our Lady of Hope, then they are guaranteed a secondary pathway into Gleeson College, if this is your desire.
Students from Our Lady of Hope are also offered priority enrolment at Kildare College and St Paul's College, if you are seeking a single gender schooling option for your child. A number of other Catholic Secondary schools such as Mary Mackillop College, St Aloysius, St Marys College, Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, Thomas More College, Loreto, St Ignatius, Blackfriars Priory School, Rostrevor College and Christian Brothers College (CBC) also prioritise your enrolment in line with their enrolment criteria.
It is recommended that parents commence the enrolment process about 2 years before your child is due to commence their secondary education.
If you have any questions about pathways into secondary education, then please don't hesitate to contact us.
