Volunteering
Volunteer Opportunities at Our School
Our school highly values the support of our volunteers and warmly welcomes parents and community members to contribute to school life. Volunteers bring a vast range of skills and expertise to their role, which greatly benefits our students. Your involvement not only enriches the school environment but also strengthens the bonds within our community.
Ways to Volunteer
There are numerous ways for parents and community members to get involved:
School Board and Parents & Friends Committee
- School Board: Joining the School Board gives volunteers the opportunity to play a crucial role in decision-making processes, helping to shape the future of our school.
- Parents & Friends Committee: This committee focuses on organizing and supporting community events, fostering a warm and welcoming school atmosphere.
Classroom and School Activities
- Classroom Support: Parents can assist teachers by listening to children read, helping with arts and crafts, or offering support during group activities.
- Excursions: Volunteers can join school excursions, ensuring the safety and enjoyment of students while enriching their educational experiences.
- Canteen Volunteering: Assisting in the school canteen is another way to contribute, providing nutritious meals and snacks to students.
Volunteer Requirements
All volunteers are required to hold a Catholic Police Clearance, a Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education and Care (RRHAN-EC) certificate and to undertake a short Induction Session with us, to ensure the safety and well-being of our students. To facilitate this, we offer Induction Sessions throughout the school year, allowing volunteers to complete the necessary processes easily and efficiently.
